A beautiful Ash Yoke

This centre thwart combines features of the thwart and the yoke. The slender waists are thwart-like. They serve as well -defined hand holds to aid in safely flipping up and lowering the canoe.

Distinctive and eye-catching, our two-tone yoke marries ash and cherry. Laminated on a bias the warmth of the cherry overlies the ash, a wood known for its durability and shock absorbency.

An attractive one piece yoke with the aesthetic appeal inherent in solid wood. Recommended for canoes with lighter lay-up, since there is some trade off of strength for weight. For heavier canoes we recommend our ash or two tone yokes.

The classic centre thwart, in straight grained white ash. A simple thwart is space saving 2 3/8" wide and light weight. Finished in durable urethane varnish. Made in Canada.
